EARLY CHILDHOOD MUSIC PROGRAM FOR BABIES TO PRE-PREP
Let’s Play Music is an early childhood program designed to inspire the joy of music in babies and young children.
Let’s Play Music brings a small group of children and their parent/carer together to play, learn and have fun. In this secure environment, children enjoy a range of musical experiences and are introduced to basic musical concepts as a preparation for formal tuition, should they wish to pursue it.
Whilst our focus is on music, children also develop and practise a wide range of social, emotional, cognitive, physical and creative skills.
Let’s Play Music fits within a contemporary, comprehensive early childhood education and has an holistic approach to teaching and learning – connecting mind, body and spirit through music.
Let’s Get Started!
Babies to 2 years
Clap hands! Clap hands! Babies and toddlers use their sensory powers to explore and learn. Let’s get started making music with simple, percussion instruments. Feel the beat and enjoy the fun of repetition with action rhymes and finger plays.
Let’s Move On!
2 years to 3 years
Imagine that! How would I dance if I were a cat? With increased language and a rapidly developing imagination, let’s move on to increased recognition of rhythm, pitch, tempo and other musical concepts.
Let’s Take Off!
3 years to pre-prep
The sky’s the limit! Increased confidence, motor skills, language, sociability, concentration....let’s take off! Join in more complex musical games...help compose a song....and perform it! Consolidate and practise musical concepts in preparation for formal tuition.
